Q: Why would someone purchase an original wooden wine crate?

A: Home improvements and wine cellar decoration. Wine crates make excellent shelving units, tables, benches and spice racks. Wine crates are sturdy and can hold alot of weight.

Also, wine investors purchase them frequently. Investors usually purchase 1-2 bottles of exceptional wine to begin the collection. A crate is not included with a purchase of under 6 or 12 bottles. Once the collector reaches 6 or 12 bottles, he or she will want the original crate to complete the collection. Investors make more money at auction if their collection is complete with a wine crate.

Q: Why would someone purchase a wooden wine crate panel?

A: Wooden wine crate panels or "wine panels" are the engraved side of a wine crate. These sides have the logo and artwork of the winery on them. We remove these sides from the wine crate for wall, ceiling, floor, table or cabinet coverings.

Wine panels are also used to create tabletops as well. Pictures of these tables can be seen in the Picture Gallery section.

Q: Are wine crates & panels known by different names?

A: Yes. There are many names used to describe them. To keep it simple we call them wine crates & wine panels. Below are some of the other names:

Wine Crates: Wood wine boxes, wooden wine boxes, wine cases, Original Wine Crates (OWC's), wine boxes, used wine crates and vintage wine boxes.

Wine Panels: Wine box ends, wine face plates, wine wood tiles and wine box sides.

Q: What are custom engraved wine panels and crates?

A: These are custom made wooden wine crates and panels with individualized logos and pictures.

A winery with a pre-made logo wants engrave their logo on a wine crate or panel. The piece is then built to their specifications.

We use only Grade A pine, and all pieces are hand engraved.

Q: What is included with a wine crate?
A: Lids and inserts are optional but included. Shipping weight is reduced when lid and inserts aren't included.

Q: How heavy is a wine crate?
A: Magnum wine crate: approx. three pounds
6 bottle crate: approx. six pounds
12 bottle crate: approx. nine pounds

Q: What are lids and inserts?

A: Lids are the tops of wine crates. Most crate lids are removable but some are attached. Inserts securely hold wine inside the crate, and are shaped like wine bottles. Lids and inserts are designed to match a specific crate.

Q: How many wine crate sizes are there?

A: There are several different sizes. The main sizes are single bottle, six bottle and twelve bottle. These crates hold 750 ML size bottles. Other sizes include: 24 1/2 bottle crates: (These hold twenty-four 375ML bottles known as "half bottles"), magnum sized crates which hold 1500 ML bottles, double magnum crates which hold 3000 ML bottles and Imperial wine crates which hold six liters. A: Yes. Panel sizes vary based on the shape of the crate their from.

A: FedEx Groundâ„¢, Express on request. Please allow for 2-3 business days before the shipment goes out. FedEx Tracking is automatically sent to your e-mail address the day the order ships out.

Q: How long do I have to wait to get a response back?
